The work constructs a sequence of increasingly lower pressures inside five apparently identical glass spheres. For the viewer there is no visible difference between them: they have the same shape, the same volume and the same appearance. Yet what is happening inside each sphere is physically very different. That difference cannot be seen, but it can be measured.
The spheres were manufactured specifically for the project and evacuated with technical collaboration from ALBA-CELLS.
The void appears not as absolute absence, but as a physical, precise and quantifiable gradation. The work received a VEGAP production grant.
