Rivers inside Rivers brings together four waters collected from the same hydrological system: a river, one of its tributaries, a tributary of that tributary, and a further tributary connected to the previous one.
Each water was collected directly from its location and is presented separately in a glass urn. Although physically divided, the four samples belong to the same continuous system.
The work focuses on this relationship between separation and connection. A river can be divided into names, branches, tributaries and points on a map, but the water itself moves through a shared network.
The nested arrangement of the urns and the concentric methacrylate base translate that structure into physical form: four distinct bodies of water that are, at the same time, parts of one system.
